Marathon Time

The streets of London were paved in red for this year's race. Foam Techniques working with world leading timing specialists produced over 100 timing mats for the world famous race.

The timing mats were produced from a composite of materials laminated and routed for the inlay of the sensitive timing system, in house at Foam Techniques Ltd. 

Each Mat, which was up to 6m long and weighed over 50kg was then hand cut to allow for the bespoke cabling which was then inlayed and covered by the team here at Foam Techniques Ltd.

Delivered within a very tight time frame to London Marathon, the bespoke project helped recorded the results of over 36000 competitors.

The men start their race over the

first set of Timing Mats

Tsegaye Kebede is the first

competitor to pass over the

final Timming mats and

completes the 26 mile race

in front of Buckingham Palace.
