Rapid Prototyping

Foam Techniques as the leading producer of technical foam products is continually investing in the latest processing machinery.  This investment ensures we remain commutative, efficient but above all are able to support and develop the products our customers ask us to produce.

Prototyping is a vital part of the design and development phase of any new product, and our dry knife cutting system allows parts to be produced without the need for costly tooling changes during the design process.  Drawings provided in DXF format can be loaded directly to the machine and cut without any further manual adjustment, where this is not possible then our team of Foam Engineers can create the program needed.

The process also provides the ability to cut to a specified depth, producing hinge cuts or split lines.  Being highly accurate parts can be produced in kiss cut format and virtually any flexible material can be processed.
